On interrompt ce week-end avec une alerte livre ! 🙂 Tellement excité, je ne peux pas m’en empêcher. Je précommande rarement des livres, j'attends généralement qu'ils soient sortis depuis un moment et je les achète d'occasion, mais celui-ci avait l'air tellement incroyable dans un article que j'ai lu récemment, je savais juste qu'il allait être merveilleux... et c'est le cas ! Mon exemplaire vient d'arriver par la poste aujourd'hui et j'en suis amoureux !

3 choses que j'aime dans ce livre :
- Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de le lire depuis qu'il vient d'arriver mais les images du livre sont plus que belles ! Certaines pièces sont si belles que les émotions jaillissent en les regardant. Pourquoi certaines pièces peuvent-elles nous faire cela ?
- Le livre présente la maison personnelle du designer et expert en antiquités Furlow Gatewood à Americus, en Géorgie. Il est associé et partenaire d'achat d'antiquités de John Rosselli (le mari de Bunny Williams) depuis plus de 40 ans. Ce livre vous donne un aperçu de cinq maisons/bâtiments sur sa propriété de 11 acres. Pour le moment, je me fiche même de ce qui est écrit à l’intérieur. Cela valait le prix d'entrée rien que pour voir les photos de ces magnifiques espaces.
- Si je ne pouvais acheter qu'un seul livre cette année entière, ce serait celui-ci. Point final.
Information intéressante : l’avant-propos et leEnsuite sont écrits par Bunny Williams, l'un de mes designers préférés et auteur de l'un de mes livres de décoration préférés de tous les temps, An Affair With A House, un livre sur sa propre maison. One Man's Folly est également dédié à Bunny et à son mari John.
