1. Ils peuvent être bons pour les propriétaires allergiques
Le Schnauzer nain a un pelage court et raide caractéristique qui ne perd pas beaucoup. Comme les autres races avec des « meubles » ou des poils longs autour du museau et des sourcils, les Schnauzers miniatures sont plus « hypoallergéniques » que les autres races.

Le Schnauzer nain sel et poivre est un favori pour une raison. Il s'épanouit lorsqu'il participe à des jeux avec ses maîtres et s'entend très bien avec les enfants. Il est robuste pour sa petite taille, il peut donc facilement jouer et suivre les enfants !Le Schnauzer nain sel et poivre a besoin d'un toilettage quotidien pour brosser sa barbe et ses sourcils, mais le reste de son pelage raide peut être brossé plusieurs fois par semaine pour les entretenir ; un brossage approfondi n'est pas nécessaire.
Ils sont suffisamment petits pour vivre confortablement dans un appartement à condition qu'ils fassent de l'exercice quotidiennement à l'extérieur, et ils sont très affectueux dans la nature. Ils peuvent toujours être utilisés pour le travail car ils font d'excellents chiens de garde, et leurs constructions athlétiques leur permettent de patrouiller sur les terres agricoles ou de suivre les propriétaires ayant un emploi actif.
