Les Morkies peuvent bien s'entendre avec les chats et les autres chiens, surtout s'ils passent du temps avec d'autres animaux lorsqu'ils sont des chiots. Leur nature amicale en fait souvent de bons compagnons pour les autres animaux de compagnie, qu’ils encouragent souvent à jouer. Cependant, ils ont une forte proie et peuvent chasser des animaux plus petits qu’eux, en particulier des souris. Un autre problème potentiel est que leur petite taille peut les rendre vulnérables aux blessures lorsqu'ils jouent avec des chiens plus gros.
