Une célébration canadienne de Thanksgiving avec Harvest Pumpkin China
Bienvenue au 524ème Tablescape jeudi !
Brenda et Tom sont de jeunes mariés, ils viennent de se marier en août. Ensemble, ils vivent à Peaceful Valley Farm au Canada. Quel bel endroit! Il porte certainement bien son nom !
Brenda a déclaré : « Nous sommes à la retraite mais nous avons une ferme d'agrément avec deux chevaux, Lady et Foxy. Nous avons également 6 vaches Angus noires (Tour of Duty, Rosebud, Daisey, Feiria, Roscoe et Arlene), plus de 60 poules pondeuses, 10 ruches et trois chiens nommés Porsche, Rolls et Bentley. Nous fabriquons nos propres conserves et sirop d'érable au printemps. Nous avons récemment ajouté deux moutons, Dolly et Candy. »
Brenda a eu la gentillesse de partager avec moi des photos de sa table de Thanksgiving pour cette année. Thanksgiving est officiellement célébrée comme fête annuelle au Canada depuis le 6 novembre 1879. Elle est toujours célébrée le deuxième lundi d'octobre. Semblable à notre Thanksgiving américain, le Thanksgiving canadien consiste à passer du temps en famille, à se régaler et à être reconnaissant pour ce que l'on a et la générosité de l'année précédente.
Brenda a déclaré : « Il y a quelques différences entre les Canadiens. Thanksgiving et un Thanksgiving américain. Notre Thanksgiving se concentre principalement sur la période des récoltes, car nos climats sont plus frais à cette période de l'année et de notre saison d'automne. Nous vous remercions pour cette récolte abondante. »
Brenda a dressé une table vraiment époustouflante pour célébrerThanksgiving cette année !
Brenda a mélangé deux motifs de porcelaine différents pour créer cette magnifique table de récolte : récolte de citrouille et récolte de couronne de citrouille. Brenda a déclaré : « J'ai décidé de choisir les assiettes à salade car lorsque vous servez quelque chose dessus, vous bénéficiez toujours du motif sur les bords de l'assiette. » Un motif tellement époustouflant !
Brenda a déclaré : "Les plats sont magnifiques et ce que j'ai aimé chez eux, c'est qu'ils sont beaucoup axés sur un thème d'automne plutôt que sur Thanksgiving, donc ils sont plus polyvalent à utiliser tout au long de la saison d'automne. assiettes de présentation rustiques. Brenda a déclaré : « Les chargeurs ont été fabriqués à la main à partir de bois et nous les avons achetés à Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, dans un magasin appelé Dragonfly Arts à Broadway. Nous adorons ces couverts et c'était un cadeau de mariage pour nous récemment. Quand nous l'avons vu, nous avons pensé qu'il s'intégrerait parfaitement dans notre ferme. »
Voici une meilleure vue de la magnifique assiette Harvest Pumpkin. Les couleurs des citrouilles sont si vives et si belles sur le fond sombre.
J'adore l'énorme dinde que Brenda a utilisée comme pièce maîtresse ! Brenda a déclaré : « La dinde que j'ai achetée chez Home Sense serait exactement comme vos produits pour la maison aux États-Unis. Ledes lunettes que j'ai achetées il y a des années et je ne me souviens plus où. Le chemin de table provenait également de Home Sense.
Les verres à pied sont un motif appelé Anderson par Park Designs, il a été inspiré par un support de casserole en fer du XVIIIe siècle. »
Comme cadeau de mariage, Tom a offert à Brenda ce magnifique bureau d'école antique. Brenda a déclaré : « Tom et moi nous sommes mariés le 11 août 2024-2025. Tom, comme cadeau de mariage, a fait remettre en état ce vieux bureau d'école que nous avions acheté pour moi lors d'une vente aux enchères. Vous pouvez voir qu'il y a nos initiales dessus. Il pensait que chaque fois que nous devions retourner à l’école, nos vœux y seraient inscrits – jusqu’à ce qu’il sache combien de temps duraient mes vœux. Maintenant, il cherche une table de banquet ! mdr »
